Originally developed in the 1970’s by the Castricum and Bakkum families, Casbak Alpine Units offered a level of luxury, self-contained accommodation unseen in Harrietville for its time.
After a renovation of over 3 years, Bomen was established. The complex has been completely updated, creating a fusion of its mid-century aesthetic with contemporary luxe appointments, all set within magnificent gardens and grounds.
Special thought has been given to the many beautiful common areas at Bomen which provide differing spaces to gather.

Feel free to join us in the cabins for a single night in low or mid seasons. Cabins have a 2-night minimum during high season*. Lodges have a minimum 3-night stay*.
*During peak periods (eg Melbourne Cup, Easter, Christmas & New Year) there is a 4-night minimum stay for all cabins and lodges.
Yes, all bedding, bathroom and pool towels, washers and tea towels are provided.
Shampoo, conditioners, body wash and lotions are provided as are tissues, TP, detergents, coffee pods, teas and starter milks.
All guests have access to the pool area, Flopsy (our beautiful relaxation area), sauna, japandi bathroom, games room, gym, communal BBQs, pizza oven and ice-maker.
Due to the nature of the common areas, pets are not permitted at Bomen, with the exception of registered service animals.
Rates vary depending on the style of accommodation, time of year, length of stay and number of guests. Nightly rates can start as low as $232 for cabins and $675 for the lodges.
